This unit focuses on friendship, invitations, and describing people’s personalities. You’ll learn how to invite friends, accept or refuse invitations politely, and describe character traits in English.

💡 Making Invitations (Davet Etme)
How to invite:
- Would you like to come to my birthday party?
- How about going to the cinema tonight?
- Do you want to join us for dinner?
- Why don’t we go shopping together?
Accepting: Sure! / That sounds great! / I’d love to! / Of course!
Refusing politely:
- I’m sorry, I can’t. I have to study.
- I apologize for not attending your party.
- I’m afraid I’m busy that day.
📚 Time Prepositions (Zaman Edatları)

⚠️ Was/Were Born
Use “was/were born” to talk about birth:
- I was born in Istanbul in 2010.
- They were born in London.
- Tom was born in 2008. He is fifteen now.
📌 Useful Phrases
- Promise: Söz vermek – “I promise to come on time.”
- Keep a secret: Sır saklamak
- Get on well with: İyi geçinmek
🔑 LGS Tips
- Use “at” for specific times (at 5 o’clock)
- Use “on” for days and dates (on Monday)
- “I apologize for…” means “…için özür dilerim”
- Character traits are adjectives – use them after “is/are”
