🇬🇧 Human Rights — Passive Voice & Modals

📌 Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948)

• BM tarafından 10 Aralık 1948’de Paris’te kabul edildi (was adopted)
• 30 madde, evrensel ve devredilemez haklar
• Önemli maddeler: Article 1 (eşitlik), 5 (işkence yasağı), 19 (ifade özgürlüğü), 26 (eğitim hakkı)

⚡ Passive Voice (Edilgen Yapı)

Yapı: be (zamana göre çekilir) + V3. Eylemi yapan değil, eylemden etkilenen önemlidir.

• Past Simple Passive: “The law was passed in 2010.”
• Present Simple Passive: “Human rights are protected by the constitution.”
• Present Perfect Passive: “The treaty has been signed by 50 countries.”
• Future Passive: “The law will be enforced next year.”

🔧 Modals of Obligation & Necessity

• must / have to: -meli, zorunluluk (must = içsel; have to = dışsal)
• should / ought to: -meli, tavsiye
• must not: yasak (zorunlu yapma!)
• don’t have to / need not: gerekli değil (zorunluluk yok)

📚 Vocabulary — Human Rights

declaration (bildirge), discrimination (ayrımcılık), equality (eşitlik), freedom (özgürlük), justice (adalet), liberty (özgürlük), dignity (onur), oppression (zulüm), to abolish (kaldırmak), to enforce (yürürlüğe koymak)

⚠️ Dikkat: “everyone, everybody” tekil özne — tekil fiil alır (“everyone has” not “have”).
