🌍 The Solar System – Güneş Sistemi

The Solar System (Güneş Sistemi) consists of the Sun and eight planets that orbit around it. The planets are divided into two groups: inner planets (iç gezegenler) and outer planets (dış gezegenler).

📐 Comparatives and Superlatives (Karşılaştırma)

Bu ünitede gezegenleri karşılaştırırken comparative (karşılaştırma) ve superlative (üstünlük) yapıları sık kullanılır.

Comparative Form (Karşılaştırma – İki Şey Arası)

İki şeyi karşılaştırırken kullanılır. “than” ile birlikte gelir.

Rule Formation Example
Short adjectives (1 syllable) adjective + -er + than Mars is smaller than Earth.
Adjectives ending in -e adjective + -r + than Jupiter is larger than Saturn.
Adjectives ending in consonant+vowel+consonant double consonant + -er + than Venus is hotter than Mercury.
Adjectives ending in -y change y to i + -er + than Earth is heavier than Mars.
Long adjectives (2+ syllables) more + adjective + than Saturn is more beautiful than Uranus.

Superlative Form (Üstünlük – Üç ve Daha Fazla)

Üç veya daha fazla şey arasında en üstün olanı belirtır. “the” ile başlar.
