Future Tense Yapıları

İngilizce’de gelecekten bahsetmenin birden fazla yolu vardır. Her yapının farklı bir kullanım amacı vardır:

“Be Going To” Detaylı Kullanım

Yapı Formül
Olumlu I am going to travel. / She is going to study.
Olumsuz I am not going to travel. / She isn’t going to study.
Soru Are you going to travel? / Is she going to study?

Kullanım alanları:

  • Planlar: “I’m going to visit my grandparents this weekend.”
  • Kanıta dayalı tahmin: “Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain.” (bulutları görüyorum → tahmin)
  • Niyet: “She is going to become a doctor when she grows up.”

“Will” Detaylı Kullanım

Yapı Formül
Olumlu I will help you. / She will come tomorrow.
Olumsuz I won’t (will not) forget. / He won’t be late.
Soru Will you come? / Will she help us?

Kullanım alanları:

  • Anlık karar: “The phone is ringing. I‘ll answer it.”
  • Vaat/söz: “I will always support you.”
  • Tahmin (kişisel görüş): “I think Turkey will win the match.”
  • Teklif: “Shall I carry your bag?” / “I’ll open the door for you.”

✍️ Writing an Opinion Paragraph About Plans

Planlarınız hakkında fikir paragrafı yazarken şu yapıyı kullanın:

  1. State your opinion: “I believe that planning ahead is very important.”
  2. Give reasons: “Because it helps you manage your time and stay organized.”
  3. Support with examples: “For example, I always plan my study schedule before exams.”
  4. Conclude: “In my opinion, everyone should learn to make plans for a better future.”

Örnek Paragraf

“I believe that having clear plans for the future is essential. I am going to study hard this year because I want to get into a good university. Next summer, I’m planning to attend a language course to improve my English. I also want to join a volunteer program to gain experience. In my opinion, setting goals and making plans help us stay focused and motivated.”

🎯 Practice Questions

Question 1: Fill in with “will” or “be going to”: “I’ve already bought the tickets. We ______ see the movie tonight.”

Answer: “We are going to see the movie tonight.” (Önceden planlanmış — biletler alınmış.)

Question 2: “It’s cold in here.” — Respond with a spontaneous decision.

Answer: “I‘ll close the window.” (Anlık karar → will)

Question 3: Rewrite: “I plan to learn Spanish next year.”

Answer: “I am going to learn Spanish next year.”

Question 4: Make a suggestion for an unplanned situation: “The restaurant is closed.”

Sample Answers:
“How about ordering pizza?” / “Why don’t we try another restaurant?” / “Let’s cook at home instead.”

Question 5: Which intonation pattern is used for “Where are you going?” — rising or falling?

Answer: Falling intonation ↘ — Wh- questions use falling intonation because the answer is specific information, not yes/no.
