Örnek Blog Yazısı: My Favourite Festival
My Favourite Festival: Ramadan Feast
Ramadan Feast (Ramazan Bayramı) is my favourite festival. It is celebrated at the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. The festival lasts for three days, and it is a time for family, food, and happiness.
During the feast, we wake up early and put on our best clothes. First, the elders in the family go to the mosque for the morning prayer. Then, we visit our grandparents and kiss their hands as a sign of respect. After that, my grandmother serves delicious homemade baklava and Turkish delight with tea. Children receive candy and money from the elders — this is my favourite part!
In the afternoon, we visit our neighbours and relatives. Everyone is smiling and happy. My mother always prepares a big dinner with traditional dishes like stuffed vine leaves (sarma) and rice pudding (sütlaç).
I love Ramadan Feast because it brings the whole family together. It reminds us to be grateful, generous, and kind. I think every country should have a festival like this!
